New CD In The Works With every available weekend, White Dove is working on a new CD, to be titled Never Abandoned. The title song was written by Bill and Angela. The CD will also contain an original by Angela called Singer's Prayer, and two originals by Ron, Traveling on Bended Knee and Learning to Live in the Lord. In addition, there will be standard hymns (hot-rodded White Dove style) and other songs that are in White Dove's current set lists. |

Unexpected Response During a previous concert at First Baptist Church, Bill was not able to make it due to personal commitments. Since the church had been planning the concert for some time, White Dove decided to go ahead with the concert without Bill. The church's response was a complete surprise. Don't tell Bill -- it might hurt his feelings. |

White Dove's New Wheels After listening to band members Bill Gravett and Ron Appleton complaining about the lack of a band vehicle, Glen found an economical solution. The new vehicle has ample seating for Glen and Angie, and plenty of room for instruments and equipment. When asked what they thought of the new vehicle, Bill and Ron answered under their breath, and their answer could not be understood. |

Bill Adds New Twist to White Dove Stage Show
Bill Gravett, White Dove's banjo player, turned a near-tragedy into a victory and the height of entertainment. While touring a pretzel factory between shows, Bill's shorts got caught in the pretzel machine. Fortunately, he was rescued, but not before going through a few pretzel twists. But never one to let misfortune control him, Bill has continued to play the banjo with White Dove, as the accompanying picture demonstrates. |

White Dove Releases New CD
WD's new CD, Uncaged, has finally been released. Quite a few folks had told us that they liked our previous CDs, but that they didn't caputre the energy of a White Dove performance. So we proudly present Uncaged as a "LIVE in the studio" recording, an inside look at the group at its best and funniest. We think you'll enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

South Texas Gospel Music Association Honors White Dove
At their 2004 Awards Banquet in San Antonio, Texas, South Texas Gospel Music Association presented White Dove with two awards. The group received the Horizon Award for Best New Group, and Angie received an award for Musician of the Year. White Dove became a member of STGMA in 2004 when our friends Jim, Maudie and David Dial joined us to the organization. STGMA does a great job of promoting gospel music in the south Texas area.

The Gathering Entered for Grammy Award
WD's second CD, The Gathering, which was released in 2002, was submitted for a Grammy Award for Country, Southern, or Gospel Album. The project was recorded at the historic Sugar Hill Recording Studio in Houston, Texas, with Kerry Jones of Class Acts Entertainment as Chief Engineer. When Andy Bradley, co-owner of Sugar Hill, heard the project, he became personally involved and made the Grammy submission. We didn't win, but you should have seen some of the other names on the entry list! We were amazed that we were on the same list as them.
